The Johnny Divines

The Johnny Divines is a five-piece Indie Rock band. They bring a light-hearted and vivacious sound to the music scene. The Johnny Divines’ ultimate goal is to create unique music that will keep fans smiling and dancing.
All five members have their roots in Johannesburg, South Africa. Each member has unique musical talent and their passion for music and the band strives to bring something fresh to the music scene. The band, as a whole, makes a point of breaking from the norm by concentrating on beautiful melodies and distinct rhythms. Their combined styles and innovations create exciting, upbeat music that is certain to put a spring in everyone’s step.
Amber Valentine and Vincent Beukes started the band in 2010 and embarked on the long process of finding the perfect members to compliment their sound. By mid 2012 the band was complete and the sound they had envisioned was achieved.
In December 2012 they recorded their first single, “Magic In the Mundane”, released in the UK, France and South Africa on Monday, 14th January.
